Clean Vibes at Tortuga Music Festival


Volunteer with Clean Vibes at Tortuga Music Festival in exchange for your ticket to the festival!

**Please be advised that this registration page is for CLEAN VIBES, the event waste & recycling provider, specifically and is separate from the festival volunteer program. Registrations between the two programs are non-transferrable.*

Clean Vibes will have four positions available at this event:

DURING SHOW CLEAN-UP Volunteers must commit to THREE 5-hour shifts. Volunteers will work within the concert and vending areas during the event operational hours (when the music is happening) and will be picking up loose litter on the ground, bussing picnic tables,  servicing stations and working with the Clean Vibes staff to keep the venue and vending areas safe and clean for fans. This position entails walking, stooping, bending, lifting and handling event waste and recycling. During Show Volunteer shifts will VARY and will depend on the music schedule and needs of the event.
 

During Show Clean Up Shifts:
Friday, 4/7/17: TBA
Saturday, 4/8/17: TBA
Sunday, 4/9/17: TBA

NIGHTLY AFTER SHOW CLEAN-UP Volunteers must commit to THREE 5-hour shifts, one EACH night of the event, for a total of 15 hours. Volunteers will be providing the important initial sweep through the venue after the crowd has left.  We will clean the venue and vending areas of all concert debris. Nightly After Show Volunteers must volunteer all three nights of the event and will gain admission for all 3 days.
 

Nightly After Show Shifts:
Friday, 4/7/17: 10:00PM - 3:00AM
Saturday, 4/8/17: 10:00PM - 3:00AM
Sunday, 4/9/17: 10:00PM - 3:00AM

POST/DURING SHOW CLEAN-UP Volunteers must commit to ONE 5-hour shift during the festival and ONE 8-hour shift Monday (4/10) from 10am-6pm. For the one During Show Shift volunteers will work within the concert and vending areas during the event operational hours picking up loose litter on the ground, bussing picnic tables, servicing stations and working with the Clean Vibes staff to keep the venue and vending areas safe and clean for fans. For the Post Show shift volunteers will work with Clean Vibes crew members and fellow volunteers to clear the venue and vending areas of all event litter and debris. This position entails walking, stooping, bending, lifting and handling event waste and recycling.

Post Show Clean Up Shift:
Monday, 4/10/17: 10:00PM - 6:00PM

CLEAN VIBES TRADING POST Volunteers must commit to THREE 5-hour shifts. Volunteers will work with existing crew to engage and educate festival attendees. Through environmental education and incentive based programming, the CVTP engages festival patrons in creating a cleaner and greener festival atmosphere. Our focus is on eliminating waste from the landfill through our #divertandearn programs. The Clean Vibes Trading Post (CVTP), a 501(c)3 non-profit, works in partnership with Clean Vibes, LLC. 

Preferred Qualifications/Interests for Trading Post positions: We look for volunteers with a background in environmental studies, community engagement or non profit experience. To be clear, you will be talking to festival patrons all day long. Be prepared to repeat yourself, while keeping an energized momentum and focused, positive attitude. Volunteers will find out their schedule closer to the event.

***Once all Trading Post positions are filled the department will close, excluding remaining applicants. Any unregistered applicants will thus be automatically deferred to their second choice or the next available During Show option.***

Saturday, 4/8/17: 12:00PM - 5:00PM or 1:00PM - 6:00PM or 2:00 - 7:00PM 
Sunday, 4/9/17: 12:00PM - 5:00PM or 1:00PM - 6:00PM or 2:00 - 7:00PM 

Work Requirement: 
During Show - 15 Hours
Post Show - 13 Hours

Accommodation: Camping is not provided. Volunteers must provide their own lodging.
